Read more: BRILA FM CONDEMNS ATTACK BY OWN MISSING OAPs, DENIES SACKING ANY STAFFContrary to stories flying all over the social media, Nigeria's pioneer all-sports radio, Brila FM, has come out to set the records straight as regards the disappearance of some of its on-air personalities.

Explaining that it never relieved any of the said OAPs of their duties, the Larry Izamoje-led media empire stated that all that transpired was an internal reshuffling and nothing more.

Refusing to join issues with the said OAPs who were yet to officially exit Brila FM as at the time of writing this, the company recounted the full story thus:' In view of enquiries by truly concerned listeners and patrons on changes within the organization’s Lagos station, management wishes to inform as follows:

An internal reorganisation that involved transfers and redeployments of some members of staff was undertaken to strengthen shifts across all times of the day.

Oge Ogwo, Fabian Amaechi, Jovita Eke, Sean Amadi and Yinka Oyedele were deployed to new shifts in Lagos with Yinka swapping positions with Sean , while Lawrence Maxwell (Lagos to Abuja),Victor Okhani (Abuja to Kaduna) and Dogo Francis (Kaduna to Lagos) were transferred. Everyone, except Sean ,has reported to their new duty posts.

Murphy Ijemba was not redeployed from the evening belt . Indeed, the redeployments notice stated that Murphy retains the Mon-Friday belt while Dogo Francis, a pioneer member of our Popular Side Team handles the Saturday and Sunday evening belts when Murphy is off-duty.

Sean and Murphy have not resumed duty since postings were announced.

They were not sacked and the organization, till date, has not received a resignation letter from any or each of them. We reiterate that Murphy was not posted out of the evening belt .

Management was, therefore, shocked to read spurious and libellous online posts by Murphy against the station, his colleagues and management.

As shifts have to be handled, the vacated evening belt post had to be quickly filled by Dogo Francis who headed the same belt on our Kaduna station.

The company’s employee handbook, signed by every member of staff upon joining the organisation, gives the company the discretion on where, when and the time belt employees work.

It also states that duplication of service, particularly sports service, for self or others while still an employee is against the terms of agreement made clear when hired with a signed document binding company and staff. We applaud your comments, calls , questions and other expressions of care and concern . We will continue to maintain the high standards that have made us your reference in sportscasting, the home of the fans.

Thank you.'

Read more: Finally, Neymar Dumps Barcelona For PSG In World Record DealBarcelona have confirmed that Neymar will miss training on Wednesday because he intends to leave the club as a move to Paris Saint-Germain draws closer.

Neymar, who flew back to Catalonia on Tuesday after a promotional trip to China, had been expected to resume training on Wednesday despite being strongly linked with a move to PSG.

The Brazil international was photographed driving into Barca training but the club then announced on Twitter: "Neymar Jr hasn't trained on Wednesday with the permission of the coach."Contacted by ESPN FC, a Barcelona spokesperson said: "Firstly, the player came to training today as expected; secondly, he spoke to his teammates to say goodbye because his intention is to leave the club; and thirdly, due to the situation the manager has given him permission not to train."

Wagner Ribeiro, who is no longer officially Neymar's agent but still does work for his father's company, N&N Consultancy, confirmed to ESPN FC he was in Paris to finalise a deal with PSG.Ribeiro had written on Twitter on Wednesday: "Marvellous Paris, of the Eiffel Tower, of wine, of gastronomy and of FOOTBALL."

Neymar's contract contains a €222 million buyout clause, which would make him the world's most expensive player, although La Liga president Javier Tebas has said the Spanish league will not accept the money and vowed to complain to PSG to UEFA and the European Union for what he feels are clear breaches of financial fair play.

A source told ESPN FC last month that he had already agreed terms on a contract, while French publication L'Equipe had reported on Tuesday that a PSG medical was likely to take place either at the end of the week or on Monday.

PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Areola has used his Twitter account to deny that he told ParisFans.fr on Tuesday that Neymar was expected in Paris for a medical. ParisFans.fr said it stands by the interview.

Read more: Okocha more skilfull than Pele.......George WeahLiberian legend George Weah has said that former Nigerian midfielder, Austin Okocha is the most skillful player on the continent.Weah compared Okocha to one of Ghana’s greatest players in Abedi Pele, saying Okocha is the most talented player on the African continent. The former AC Milan and Chelsea forward said ‘Jay Jay’ is more skilled and claims that he, himself, came nowhere close to the Super Eagles legend. “Abedi is a strong player, he’s a creative player but Jay Jay is more skillful. Even me, Jay Jay has more techniques than me,” said Weah. “All the things that Jay Jay does on the field, we don’t even do one percent of it. “So Jay Jay is a legend when it comes to that; he is very creative, he is very smart and he knows how to do tricks.’ ”For me I don’t do tricks, I will score a good goal and when I am squeezed up, I know how to run around. But to put the ball on the ground and play with it, I give it to Jay Jay; he is an entertainer,” adds the 50-year-old. Okocha, who garnered 75 caps during his illustrious career, never won the CAF African Player of Year award as he was a runner-upon two occasion. The retired Weah is reportedly contesting to be Liberia’s next President.
