17th Year Anniversary: Lord Chosen Pastor, Lazarus Muoka Says, There Is No Where Christmas Was Celebrated In The Bible…Unveils Big Programme For 2020

The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement (popularly called Lord’s Chosen) is a Nigerian Christian megachurch founded by Pastor Lazarus Muoka. The church which has its headquarters located along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Lagos State many could still remember started with a few people and went on to experience rapid growth with over 300,000 branches all over the world. The church which was founded on 23 December 2002 commenced service on 24 December 2002 with a few pioneer members in a rented apartment at Ilasamaja, a town in Mushin, Lagos.
Due to the increase in new converts in a short period, the church was moved to its present location in Ijeshatedo on a sixty plot of land which can contain over 1,000,000 members in a service. Since then, the Church has become one of the most popular not only in Nigeria but accross the world. Of cause, the Church has found itself in somany controversy but has recorded so many successes going by the unprecedented growth in its 17th year of inception.
Recently, The General Overseer, Pastor Muoka had a brief chat with some newsmen where he reiterated that the Church has not lost focus since God called him to establish it, rather the will of God, which is growth in abundance, has been witnessed over the years.
” God has been grea. t, He has propelled the ministry because it is not of my own volition to commence it, He gave me the vision and I began like many of you are aware with very few people in a small cubicle, but today He has enlarge His coast, He takes all glory”
While speaking on some of the negative or controvercies the Ministry had found itself since it started, the Man of God never looks bothered, in his word…” it is my calling but that of God, as far as it remains like that, I dont need to bother because the foundation is built on truth and it has remain like that, whatever Satan want to bring in shall be conquered by God, only the truth will prevail” He also cleared the air on people asking the Church to contribute to its immediate environment and human capital. ” People should know that this Ministry is about charity, that is what we do on daily basis, I will not mention any particular ones but if you check around and across our branches you will notice that all we do is charity propelled by God”
Pastor Muoka also said looking back at the 17thyear of the Church, he has always followed Gods instruction, hence, there is nothing he would have done diferently. ” God direct us on what to do before we go ahead, so there is nothing I think I would have done differently”
For many years, the Lord Chosen has always had Crusades on the 25th and 26th of December where thousands of members troops in for deliverance and worship. this is a day many would have expected members to celebrate Christmas at home with their family but the Pastor choosed this day for special crusade. According to Pastor Muoka, ” Christmas is a doctrine for those who dont read their Bible, there is no place in the holy book where Christmas was celebrated why should we invent it now? We choses the days to preach gospel of God to our members and the general public”
The Man of God who was flaked by his wife on the day, open up that, next year will be a great year for the country and will of God shall prevail…” we have very big programmes for next year that will take us to many states. This will do by telling people that, ‘what God has determined shall come to past’ noone shall stop you from conquering, they might want to delay but it shall come to past”
