Ramadan:Pray For Peace And Solutions To Our Socio-Economic Problems…..Sen Adeola Calls On Muslims

                                                                                                                                                                           As Muslims worldwide began mandatory fasting as required by their faith during month of Ramadan in Islamic calender, the senator

representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola has called

on all Muslims in his district and the rest of Nigeria to use the month long

Ramadan to pray for peace and solutions to Nigerian socio-economic problems.

In his Ramadan greeting to millions of Muslim constituents in his district , Senator Adeola

said he had no doubt of the efficacy of Muslims’ prayers to Allah particularly

during the month of Ramadan adding that the period should also be used to

reflect on their faith and relations with their creator. 

“ At this time of our history with many socio economic challenges, divisive tendencies in

the South East, economic disruptions of oil productions by the militants in the

Niger Delta, herdsmen attacks on farming communities and other vices, we should

all look up to the divine to intervene for positive change through prayer and

fasting encapsulated in the Ramadan” he stated. The senator called on all Muslims to continue to live in harmony with members of other

religious faiths as brothers and sisters stressing that Islam is a religion of

peace that abhors violence as a form of interaction with members of other

religious faiths.

Senator Adeola further urged Muslims to use the period of Ramadan to move closer to

Allah through the strict discipline and focus that the month long fasting

entails
