LAGOS 8TH ASSEMBLY HOLD HISTORIC SESSION TO CELEBRATE LAGOS @50, MARK 2ND YEAR ANNIVERSARY

The Lagos State House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt Hon Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa will on Monday 22nd, May 2017 hold a Special Parliamentary Session to celebrate Lagos at 50 as well as mark the 2nd Anniversary of the 8th Assembly.

The event which will witness prominent dignitaries not only within the State or Country but also outside the shores of Nigeria, has been organized to give a befitting intellectual and social face for the celebration of Lagos at 50. The National Leaders of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be the Keynote Speaker while the Director, Kenya School of Law, Prof. Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba one of the Guest Lecturer will speak on the topic The Importance of The Legislature In Democratic Governance. Also  Mr Bismarck Rewane, CEO Financial Derivatives will equally be speaking on ‘Dynamics Of Lagos State Economic Development: The Role Of The Legislature’

Information has it that the event will also be used to commission the second face of the new Multi-million naira office building of the State Assembly as well as appraising the achievement of the 8th Assembly in the last 2years.
