FG Commends Ogun Over Implementation of Social Investment Schemes

The Federal Government has commended the Ogun State government over its commitment towards the success of the President Mohammadu Buhari led administration’s social investment schemes, the Home Grown School Feeding and the N-power programmes.
Senior Special Adviser to the President on Social Investments, Barr. Ismaeel Ahmed, gave the commendation, when he led a Federal Government delegation to the state to monitor the implementation of the schemes, designed to cater for the less privileged.
He also hailed the State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, for what he called the monumental projects being executed in the state, describing him as one of the pride of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration. 
The state Commissioner for Special Duties , Barr. Leke Adewolu, in his remark, said the state has engaged no fewer than 3000 women as food vendors, which has thrown up over 10,000 indirect jobs, even as farmers have been empowered, through the purchase of their farm produce.
He added that no fewer than 5,500 unemployed graduates are currently engaged, while additional 10,500 beneficiaries are in the process of being engaged, through the N-Power programme.
The social investment scheme, is an APC controlled Federal Government programme, aimed at bringing succour to the down trodden and it is being implemented in different states across the federation.
