HAKEEM LAWAL CELEBRATES BOLARINWA, NBC CHAIRMAN AS HE BAGS DOCTORATE DEGREE FROM IBADAN
The gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kwara State, Alhaji Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal on Monday celebrated the academic feats of Honourable Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa (BOB) as he bagged the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in International Relations from the Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
Bolarinwa, the former Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Kwara State and the current Chairman of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) was among the numerous graduating students that bagged various Postgraduate honour degrees during the 15th convocation of the school on Monday.
In his message of congratulations to him, Lawal described the feat as deserving for a man of outstanding cerebral height especially in the field of International relations. The SDP gubernatorial candidate also prayed that more feathers will be added to his cap in his academic and non-academic pursuit.
Apart from Lawal, other party stalwarts at the event include the Deputy gubernatorial candidate, Reverend Joshua Olakunle; Kwara South Senatorial candidate, Professor Wale Suleiman; House of Representative candidate for Isin/Oke Ero/Ekiti/Irepodun federal constituency, Otunba Ganiyu Zubair and his counterpart for Offa/Oyun, Hon. Saheed Popoola.
Also present were the Director General of the SDP Campaign Council, Hon Khaleel Bolaji; the Co-DG, Architect Kale Belgore; the Campaign Council Secretary, Dr Afolabi Abolaji; Kwara House of Assembly candidate for Odo Ogun State constituency, Prince Adesoye Nurudeen his counterpart for Omupo State constituency, Kareem Saheed Idowu and other Kwara SDP stakeholders.
The visibly elated Bolarinwa, who accompanied by his wife and other family members expressed the gratitude to SDP team and also his colleagues from the NBC for the show of support and solidarity displayed at the event.
Bolarinwa, a graduate of both the University of Ilorin and University of Lagos and a former Council Chairman in Lagos, was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in March, as chairman of the reconstituted Governing Board of the National Broadcasting Commission
