Cowlso District 6, under the able chairmanship of Chief Mrs Fadekemi Oloyede, the wife of the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, has been on the vanguard of promoting the course of the girl child as well as the women in the district in particular and Lagos State, as well as facilitates educational programs and projects.
Projects commissioned by the group include a renovated block of two classrooms in Comprehensive High School, Oshodi with white board, chairs, tables and first aid kit. The group also provided portable water, electricity, toilet and well equipped laboratory for Agidingbi Secondary School.
While handing over the projects to the principals of the schools, Mrs. Oloyede appreciated the First Lady of the Lagos State, Dr. Ibironke Sanwo-Olu for her unique leadership style. She said; “we are here today to commission and hand these projects over to the schools for usage. We renovated a block of two classrooms with amenities like board, chairs, tables and first aid kit at Comprehensive High School, Oshodi. We also provided a well furnished laboratory, toilets, borehole and electricity at Agidingbi Secondary School.
These projects would not have been possible without the support and unique leadership style of our amiable First Lady, Dr. Ibironke Sanwo-Olu. She is very passionate about anything that has to do with womenfolk, girl child, education and health. She is indeed a mother and I sincerely appreciate her devotion to the promotion of our dear state. She has been very supportive to us in Cowlsol District 6 and there are still some projects, with God and her support, that we will execute.”lo
