HON. JIMI BENSON FLAGS OFF CONSTRUCTION OF 1.6KM LAMBO LASUNWON ROAD IN IKORODU NORTH LCDA, RECEIVES COMMENDATIONS FROM LEADERS

Residents of Ikorodu North LCDA, particularly those residing along Lambo Lasunwon road, will forever mark the 30th of March 2024 as a pivotal moment in their community’s development trajectory.

On this day, the federal lawmaker representing Ikorodu, Rep. Babajimi Benson MHR, officially flagged off the construction of the dilapidated 1.6km road, eliciting commendations from various leaders across the region.

The construction flagoff marks the 45th road facilitated to Ikorodu Federal Constituency and 15th road facilitated to Ikorodu North LCDA.

The Lambo Lasunwon road, spanning 1.6 kilometers, holds strategic significance as it directly faces the Lagos State University of Science And Technology (LASUSTECH). Linking Eginyekun and first gate Araromi CDAs, this road serves as a vital artery for transportation and connectivity within the community.

The ceremony, which coincided with Rep. Benson’s 52nd birthday, attracted a plethora of dignitaries from across the division, underlining the importance of this infrastructure development initiative.

Former Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, who attended the ceremony, lauded Rep. Benson’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the welfare of his constituents, emphasizing the exemplary leadership displayed by the federal lawmaker.

Hon. Adeola Muyideen Jokomba, Lagos State Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), echoed Senator Ogunlewe’s sentiments, emphasizing the transformative impact of Rep. Benson’s numerous projects in Ikorodu North LCDA.

Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola, representing Rep. Benson, articulated the rationale behind flagging off the project on the legislator’s birthday, symbolizing his deep-rooted commitment to community welfare.

He also hinted at future development plans, including the prospective construction of Agbede road, soliciting cooperation from residents and youths to ensure seamless project execution.

As the Contractor pledged to complete the road by 3rd quarter of the year, the ceremony culminated in the official flagging off of the road construction by HRM Oba Olukayode Raji, amidst jubilation and camaraderie.

A special cake-cutting ceremony and honorary portrait presentation, further embellished Rep. Benson’s birthday celebration, epitomizing the spirit of unity and progress that pervaded the event.
