OBA SHOTOBI COMMENDS HON JIMI BENSON FOR ADVANCING HEALTHCARE AND INFRASTRUCTURE IN IKORODU

Ikorodu, Lagos State – Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Hon Babajimi Benson, the representative for Ikorodu Federal Constituency, for his significant contributions to the community through the recent flag-off of the Trauma Hospital Project and the completion of the 1.6km Lambo Lasunwo Road.

The flag-off ceremony for the Trauma Hospital Centre was held on October 7, 2024, and was graced by the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hazmat.

During the flag-off ceremony, Dr. Hazmat underscored the importance of the Trauma Hospital Centre in addressing critical healthcare needs in the region.

He noted that the hospital would serve as a vital resource for trauma care, significantly improving the health infrastructure available to the residents of Ikorodu.

“This hospital is a testament to our commitment to enhancing healthcare services for our people,” he stated.

Following the flag-off, Rep. Benson and his entourage proceeded to the newly completed 1.6km Lambo Lasunwo Road, which also received commendations from Oba Shotobi.

The deputy governor officially commissioned the road, emphasizing its role in enhancing connectivity and accessibility within the community.

“Good roads are essential for economic growth, and I commend Rep. Benson for this achievement,” Dr. Hazmat added.

In his remarks on behalf of the traditional institution in Ikorodu, Oba Shotobi lauded Rep. Benson for his relentless efforts in championing projects that directly benefit the Ikorodu communities.

He highlighted the importance of collaboration between government representatives in fostering development.

“Your dedication to improving healthcare and infrastructure in Ikorodu is commendable. We appreciate your hard work and commitment to our people,” the monarch stated.

Residents of Ikorodu have expressed their gratitude for the new developments, particularly the Trauma Hospital, which they believe will provide much-needed medical services in emergency situations.

The completion of Lambo Lasunwo Road has also been met with enthusiasm, as it is expected to facilitate better transportation and stimulate local businesses
