HON. KASUNMU DISTRIBUTES FOOD PALLIATIVES TO VULNERABLE WOMEN IN IKEJA CONSTITUENCY 2

As part of his efforts to ameliorate the harsh effects of the current economic reforms in the country on his Constituents, the *Deputy Majority Leader of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon.(Prince) Adedamola Richard Kasunmu, also known as ARK,* yesterday Wednesday 18th December 2024, distributed scores of Food Palliatives to vulnerable women in Ikeja Constituency 2.

The distribution process, which took place at his Constituency Office at Seriki Aro St axis of Ikeja, was preceded by a well articulated health talk anchored by the *Director of Women Affairs in the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), Mrs Olufunke Shyllon, who stood-in for the Honourable Commissioner, Mrs Bolaji Cecilia Dada.*

According to the Deputy Majority Leader, “the targeted beneficiaries are vulnerable women in our Constituency, such as widows, elderly women, struggling single mothers above 45 years, physcally challenged women and others. They were carefully selected from across the ten (10) wards in Ikeja Constituency 2. Other sub-goups, such as the CDC, PLWDs, and others, were also carried along in the process. ” Hon. Kasunmu stated.

Addressing the over 100 beneficiaries who converged on his Constituency Office, Hon. Kasunmu thanked the Lagos State Government under the Leadership of Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu for his efforts in making life better for Lagosians. He also appreciated the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs Bolaji Cecilia Dada, and her team for supporting vulnerable women in Ikeja Constituency 2, stating that more are still on the way.

Each package of food oalliatives contains one whole frozen chicken, Rice, Beans, Garri, and other items. Apart from these, Hon. Kasunmu also gave each beneficiaries a token of cash for transportation logistics.
In their appreciation remarks, the visibly happy beneficiaries thanked Hon. Kasunmu for deeming it fit to give out such high-quality food palliatives and useful health talk at this critical time. They prayed for God’s protection and more blessings over his life.
The program was supported by the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
