KANU, ONAZI HAIL FALCONS’ DRAW AGAINST SWEDEN

Ex-Nigeria captain Nwankwo Kanu and current Super Eagles trio of Ogenyi Onazi, John Ogu and Sone Aluko have all hailed the spirited comeback of the Super Falcons in Monday night’s 3-3 draw against Sweden at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.

The Edwin Okon-led side conceded two first half goals but fought back to earn a point from their opening game to the delight of the quadruplet who expressed their feelings via social media site twitter.
In his submission, Hull City midfielder Sone Aluko who was clearly overwhelmed by the fluent flow rates the clash as an early contender for the game of the competition.
“What an amazing game and advert for the WWC that was. Had it all Credit to both teams. Nigeria against Sweden early candidate for game of comp!!” Aluko wrote via his twitter handle @sonealuko.
Also, SS Lazio midfielder Onazi Ogenyi urged Nigerians to get behind the team for their resilience all through the encounter in North America. “I told you guys our girls are coming back stronger, show some love to the team #SoarSuperFalcons,” the Lazio midfielder wrote via his handle @OnaziOgenyi.
Arsenal legend, Kanu on his part hailed the never-say-die attitude of the side after their amazing showing. He wrote: “Well done girls we are proud, that’s the spirit never give up.”
