HOW BAD WEATHER CRASHES AIR FORCE FIGHTER JET
A fighter jet in the fleet of the Nigeria Air Force has crashed.
The F7-Ni fighter jet crashed in Adamawa State.
It was said to be returning to the base from an interdicted mission.
A statement by the Air Force on Saturday said the jet crashed due to bad weather and not under enemy fire around Hong, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State at about 4.23pm.
The pilot was said to have died in the crash.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal S. B. Abubakar, was said to have set up an investigation panel to unravel the remote and immediate causes of the accident.
The spokesman of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Dele Alonge, promised to provide further details in due course
