Lagos Police Boss Urge Students To Take Personal Security Seriously
The police in Lagos State is to beef up security in schools all over the state.
This will be done by way of patrols.
The State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, disclosed this while addressing some school children after a town hall meeting with stakeholders in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area.
The stakeholders meeting was held by Owoseni based on the orders of the Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, that State Police Commands should explore interaction with the people for better community policing.
Owoseni said the decision to deploy patrol teams to the various schools in the state was to ensure that the children are safe and secure.
Owoseni said schools located in remote areas, which have been easy targets for kidnappers, would not be left out of the patrol.
He urged the students to take their personal security seriously.
