AMBODE REACTS TO OBASA’S EMERGENCE AS SPEAKER

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state has hailed the emergence of Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa of Agege 1 Constituency as the Speaker of the eight state House of Assembly.

Ambode, in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Habib Aruna, described the new speaker as an experienced legislator and administrator whose wealth of experience will come to bear in steering the ship of the house.

The governor commended the lawmakers for the smooth conduct of the election and rated the house as the most vibrant legislature in the federation.

The state governor, however, calls for harmonious relationship between the executive and the legislature during his tenure to enable him deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
