Supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari in the All Progressives Congress under the aegis of Federation of Buhari Support Groups have accused four State Governors elected on the party’s platform of leading the revolt against the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole.

The supporters made the allegation during a protest in support of Oshiomhole at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday.

The governors accused of allegedly leading the revolt were those of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN); Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi; Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun; and Adamawa State, Jibrilla Bindow.

According to the Coordinator of the FBSG, Alhaji Ibrahim Sikiru, it has become an open secret that Akeredolu, Fayemi and Amosun worked against the party’s choice in the recently held Osun State governorship election.Sikiru said Akeredolu was also beneficiary of the alleged impunity of a former National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, hence he is unhappy with Oshiomhole.

He said: “As it is, in Ondo State, President Muhammadu Buhari cannot get 10 per cent votes in the 2019 election due to the remarketing policies of the governor.

“We believe in the leadership of the party ably led by Adams Oshiomhole and his determination to position the party for a landslide victory in the forthcoming elections.

“Our party is greater than any individual or group.

“So let us come together and face our common goal of remaining the most efficient and trusted party in our clime.”
