BUHARI’S RE-ELECTION: A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR NIGERIAN YOUTHS….Hon. Kasunmu

Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu, the Lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly has stated that the historic re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and his deputy, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo in last Saturday’s Presidential election will engender a brighter future for Nigerian youths.

Hon. Kasunmu, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Youths, Sports and Social Development, made this assertion in Lagos on Wednesday while addressing a group of youth who paid him a courtesy visit in his Constituency Office in Ikeja.

According to the Lawmaker,   “President Muhammadu Buhari and Prof Yemi Osinbajo emerged victorious in this election against all odds, I salute their courage and tenacity and I congratulate them heartily. I also congratulate our great party the All Progressives Congress and all our leaders across board, especially Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson and other leaders.

This victory is very unique and special because it has given fresh hope to the youth and all the good citizens of this nation.

We now know that indeed our country is a place where, good can actually triumph over evil and where integrity and honesty can indeed overpower corruption and dishonesty.

To me as a youth, this is a huge inspiration and it has strengthen my faith and confidence in the system”.

Speaking further, Hon. Kasunmu, popularly known as ‘ARK’, stated that “in the last four years under President Muhammadu Buhari, the policies of government have been tilted more towards correcting the ills of the past and laying solid foundation for the future of our dear country and we all know that the youth are the ultimate beneficiaries of these policies because we are the future of the country.

Aside these, Hon. Kasunmu said the Youth actually fared better under the Buhari-led administration than in any previous regime.

 For example the “Not Too Young To Run law”, which enabled a lot of young persons to participate in this current electioneering is one of the game-changing achievements of this administration that no one can deny. Also the N-Power scheme, the various mecanised Agricultural programmes and Infrastructural Development across the land are some of the other areas the youth  have benefited immensely from the PMB/PYO government”

Hon. ARK therefore expressed high hopes that the incoming tenure of the President will be more benevolent to the youths and the general populace than ever before.

Also in his address, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu commended the people of Ikeja Constituency 2 for their peaceful conduct during the election and thanked them for voting massively for APC candidates.

Concluding his message, Hon. Kasunmu who is the youngest lawmaker in Lagos State House of Assembly at 35 and is seeking re-election on the platform of APC, appealed to the people of Ikeja Constituency 2 to come out in large numbers on Saturday 9th March and vote massively for him and Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu the party’s Governorship candidate.
