Kosofe Constituency II Bye-Election is over and a winner has emerged. The election which was contested by eight political parties saw Femi Saheed of the All Progressives Congress  emerged winner.
The APC flag bearer polled a total of 12,434 votes to defeat Demola Alebiosu of the PDP who polled 2,058 votes. The Kosofe II member elect has dedicated his victory to God and service to humanity.
“Yes, the election is over, it provides us another time to reflect on the legacies of the departed souls, whose demise necessitated the conduct of a Bye-Election. Senator Bayo Osinowo and Barr. Tunde Braimoh, may God repose their souls.
It also provides a time to  put aside the rhetorics that characterized our partisanship during the electioneering campaign. We have to come together as a unit and work for the progress of Kosofe Constituency II.
Let me say that I  campaigned as a proud Progressive, but I will represent you all as fellow resident.
To other candidates of different political parties, let me appreciate your effort for putting up a good sportsmanship show before and during the election. We must understand that to make progress on this journey, we have to put might together and work for the development of our constituency.
I appreciate God almighty for this feat. I also want to specially recognize our National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Speaker of House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Mudashiru Obasa, the State Chairman Alhaji Tunde Balogun, Members of GAC, Otunba Busura Alebiosu (Baba Bush) and Pa. Omooba Sosanya. Minister of State for Health, Senator Olorunibe Mamora,  Managing Director, Federal Housing Authority, Senator Gbenga Ashafa. To our leader, Pa. Stephen Oyedele, council chairmen, party hierarchies and party members, y’all are a wonderful workforce. To my wife and family members, I say thank you.
I appreciate everyone who has contributed to the success of this project. Those who toiled through thick and thin, including those who tenaciously laboured to get this done. I say thank you. Once again, I dedicate this victory to God and  service to humanity.
In the hope that I have appreciated everyone, I say  thank you fellow residents.
Signed
Femi Saheed
