COVID-19:LAGOS TAKE DELIVERY OF VENTILATOR, OTHER MEDICAL EQUIPMENT FROM SIJU ILUYOMADE’S ARISE WOMEN
The Lagos State Government led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has taken delivery of medical equipments from the stable of Arise Women to support the battle against Coronavirus Pandemic which has continue to ravage the world since late December 2019, from the small city of Wuhan in China.
The Charity Organization which has continued to give support to less privileged in the Country for the past ten years made the presentation of the equipment on Monday April 6th at the Infection Disease Centre, Yaba. Representatives of the Convener of Arise Women, Dr Siju Iluyomade who made the presentation include Dr Tokunbo Oluwole, Mrs Folashade Segun Olaiya.
Some of the equipment procured for Lagos State Government include several Surgical Masks, Sanitizers, Hand gloves Ventilator and many other Safety, to help the frontline workers who are much at risk treating patients who have contracted the virus particularly in the state which has been the epicenter of Coronavirus in Nigeria since the first case was recorded in the country on the 27th of February.
Responding on behalf of Lagos State Government, the Incident Manager at the Isolation Centre in Yaba, Dr Ismail Abdulsalam express gratitude to Dr Siju Iluyomade and the entire Arise Women team for its continued support to the health sector in the State, especially at the critical time when the country is fighting a pandemic. He called on other notable bodies to emulate the good gesture of Arise Women, by coming forth to support the government.
