Dasuki’s Surety: DSS Invites Ex-Gov. Boni Haruna For Questioning

The Department of State Services on Tuesday invited a former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna, for questioning after he stood surety for a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

Dasuki was granted his request by the Federal High Court in Abuja for the release of his international passport seized from him by the DSS.However, after the order by Justice Adeniyi Ademola, Dasuki needed a surety to vouch for his promise to return to the country to continue with his trial on allegations of gun running and illegal possession of firearms.Haruna stood in for him.

Immediately after signing the paper, Haruna was invited by operatives of the DSS at the court premises and told to report at their headquarters in Abuja.It could however not be ascertained as at press time if he had honoured the invitation.Dasuki’s passport has since been returned to him by the Registrar of the High Court, with whom it was deposited by the DSS based on the order of Justice Ademola
