Former Kaduna lawmaker, Shehu Sani has urged the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki not to go back to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Obaseki has been having a running battle with his predecessor and the now-suspended National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole.

He was last Friday disqualified by the APC from contesting the forthcoming governorship primary of the party in Edo over alleged discrepancies in his certificates.

The Governor in turn also announced his resignation from the APC and is being touted to be eyeing the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to realise his second term ambition.

Reacting to the development, Shehu Sanni via his official twitter handle, stated that the Edo State Governor must not return to the party.

“Oh yea Godwin, Return not to Egypt where thee art called Obasek,” Shehu Sani said.
