Fayemi fires Chief of Protocol
Ekiti State Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi has approved the immediate termination of appointment of the State Chief of Protocol (SCOP) Ayo Adegbite.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Yinka Oyebode, in Ado Ekiti on Friday evening said the disengagement was with immediate effect.
Oyebode said: “According to the letter of termination of appointment signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Biodun Oyebanji, Mr. Adegbite is to hand over government properties in his custody to the Permanent Secretary, Government House and Protocol ”.
However, the statement didn’t state the offence committed by Adegbite
Adegbite was the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Deputy Governor’s office during Fayemi’s first term.
The sacked government official is a close ally of the former deputy governor, Prof Modupe Adelabu.
He also hailed from Ado Ekiti in Ado local government area of the state.
