FLOOD: LAGOS LAWMAKER, HON BRAIMOH VISIT, SYMPATHIZES WITH AFFECTED COMMUNITIES IN HIS CONSTITUENCY

The Honorable member representing Kosofe 11 Constituency in Lagos State House of Assembly Barr Tunde Braimoh today Tuesday 22nd October 2019 paid an emergency visit to some of the communities affected by flood occasioned by huge volume of rainfall for weeks and also some other natural situation.
The Lawmaker who is equally the House Committee Chairman on Information & Strategy in the Lagos State House of Assembly was accompanied on the trip by some officials of the communities who joined to sympathize with the residents. In his words during the visitation, the former Local Government Chairman and popular grassroot politician says ” my thought and prayers are with my good people who are residents of Isheri North, Olowora, Agiliti, Owode, Ajegunle,Odo Ogun, Agboyi 1, 2 and 3, Alapere, Ogudu, Ifako, Oworonsoki and environs who are badly affected and afflicted by the massive flood”
Hon Braimoh who was decked in rain-boot which enable him went through the flooded communities to have first hand information about the true situation was visibly disturbed even as he explained some of the remote causes.
According to him ” the massive flood is occasioned by a rise in the water tide, the problem is hydra headed as it is caused by natural and human factor such as climate change,increase in rain volume, release of water from Oyan Dam by the Ogun/Osun River Development Authority and other sundry issues”
While giving hope to the residents, Hon Braimoh assures that the problems have been identified and shall be solved holistically.
