Grammy Awards: Seun Kuti’s Black Times album nominated
Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has been nominated for the best world music album for his Black Times album.
The award nominations was announced Friday.
The youngest son of late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti will be contesting the category with four other nominees.
The other nominees are Bombino – Deran, Fatoumata Diawara – Fenfo, Soweto Gospel Choir – Freedom and Yiddish Glory – The Lost Songs of World War II.
The 2019 Grammy awards is set to hold on February 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, US.
Earlier in October, Kuti debunked rumours of his nomination for the Grammy awards after he made an Instagram post soliciting for votes.
