HON. KASUNMU APPRECIATES CONSTITUENTS, ONE YEAR AFTER LANDSLIDE VICTORY … Promises Premium Representation

About this time last year *(19th March 2023)*, we were waiting confidently at INEC Office at Ikeja GRA, for the official declaration of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections results, having spent the previous night collating the results of the historic election of Saturday 18th March 2023.

It was an election like no other. It was an election that quenched the treacherous political insurrection against LAGOS.
An election that confirmed the *#RenewedHope*, birthed a fortnight earlier. An election that consolidated the vision *#ForAGreaterLagos* and the mission *#ForGreaterIkeja2.*

The Final Result was a Landslide:
*APC= 19,988*
*LP = 9,099*
*PDP = 1,466*

This would not have been possible without you all.
You campaigned in the sun and in the rain. You canvassed and mobilized in the day and in the night.
You came out to vote massively, you defended your territory and delivered your polling units.

I want to seize this opportunity to express my profound gratitude to you all for your support before, during and after the election.

I want to specially thank our GAC Leaders; our MHR; Apex Leaders; our LGA/LCDA Chairmen and their team; Party Chairmen and EXCOs across board; Party Youths and women; our Councillors; different religious, political and social groups; non-political Constituency voters; civil society organizations; security agencies, members of the ARK MEDIA TEAM, members of #ARKNation and many other stakeholders too numerous to mention.

I cherish the privilege given unto me and the confidence reposed in me to serve as your Assembly representative once again. I can never take this for granted.

The last one year has been laced with lots of activities and landmarks, ranging from :

*My emergence as the Deputy Majority Leader of the 10th Assembly,

*Appointment of Special Assistants across the Constituency;

*Provision and installation of 550KVA Electricity Transformer at Akiode Community;

*Construction of Ashafa/ Obafummilayo Streets in Yakoyo;

*Speaking up against the lopsided list of Commissioner-designates without an Ikeja representive;

*Sponsorship of a World-class soccer talent hunt in Ikeja Constituency 2;

*Facilitating Special IT Skill acquisition for selected youths

*Facilitating employment of Nurses and teachers into the state civil service;

*Provision of Free JAMB registration for our children;

*Conducting oversight functions across the state;

*Provision of Food Palliatives to Widows and Senior citizens

*Admission of 10 Ikeja Constituency 2 Students to LASU;

*Facilitating the Lagos Discount Food Market center to Tokunbo Alli Primary to make it more accessible to our people..

*And recently introducing
*ARK Discount Vouchers* to assist our Constituents purchase food items at a cheaper rate at the ongoing *OUNJE EKO* centers in Ikeja and Ojodu.

Many more are still in the pipeline.

I want to use this opportunity to restate my commitment to providing premium representation for the good people of Ikeja Constituency 2 in terms of robust and people-centred legislation; youth and women empowerment; more Infrastructure facilitation; more employment for our youth and many dividends of democracy across board. So help me God.

As we journey forward together with your cooperation and prayers our constituency will continue to experience outstanding and noteworthy representation from this end.
