HON. KASUNMU SHOWERS ACCOLADES ON PRESIDENT TINUBU* _….Restates Total Loyalty to PBAT, Party Leadership_

Lagos State House of Assembly’s Deputy Majority Leader, Hon (Prince) Adedamola Richard Kasunmu, has restated his loyalty to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency 2 made this assertion on Thursday, 6th February 2025, while paying tribute to the President in the Assembly Chambers during the day’s Plenary

Sitting for the first time in the week amidst the leadership crisis rocking the House of Assembly and by extension, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, the House had decided to dedicate Thursday’s sitting to a session of appreciation and tributes to the leadership acumen of the President.

During the session, Honourable members of the Assembly took turns to shower encomiums on the President, with some going down memory lane to chronicle the political antecedents of the President, paying glowing tributes to sterling leadership sagacity.

In his submission, the Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu, (ARK), who is well-known to enjoy a Father-Son relationship with the President, being his nephew, described Asiwaju as an enigmatic icon whose leadership footprints in the sand of times across Nigeria would forever remain golden and unmatchable.

Among other accolades, Hon. Kasunmu said:

“I stand up this afternoon to strongly disagree with the famous writer, Ayei Kwei Armah, who once entitled one of his works as: “The Beautiful Ones Are not yet born”

My disagreement here is premised on the fact that the beautiful ones are already here with us, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a perfect example of that. He is the “Beautiful One” who has not only been born already but who is indeed thriving and making unprecedented impacts in our generation. ” Hon. Kasunmu stated.

Speaking further, the Deputy Majority Leader said:

“As a son to him, I have always believed in his unique capacity and uncommon leadership traits, and of course, I will forever do till the end of time.”

To others, our President may represent many things, but first, to me, he is a beloved Dad and God-given role model.
My loyalty to him, therefore, is UNSHAKEN”

“We all witnessed how he did extremely well as the pathfinding Governor of Lagos State and how he is already doing great as the President of this beautiful Nation in the last two years. For me, as a son, there is no better time to be very proud of him and my mother, Yeye Asiwaju, Oluremi Tinubu, than now.

Permit me, therefore, to be a “photocopy machine,” here today, picking bits and pieces of all the beautiful words and phrases, my other colleagues have said about our enigmatic President and my beloved father.
I join other well-meaning Nigerians in praying to God Almighty to continue to grant the President good health, stronger willpower, and greater wisdom to lead Nigeria to the promised land. I have no doubt that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will emerge as the best president to ever rule Nigeria. ”

The eulogy session organized by the House of Assembly last Thursday underscores the efforts of the current leadership towards resolving the crisis triggered by the sudden change of speakership about three weeks ago.

In essence, Hon. Kasunmu’s remarks highlight his dedication and commitment to the ideals and visions of the President.
