How I Escaped From Unknown Gunmen Who Abducted, Shot At Me….Hon Abiodun Akinlade

                                                                                                                                                               Dreaded act of kidnapping which has been touting parts of the country has once again bedeviled a former House of Representative Member and Popular Politician in Ogun State, Hon Abiodun Akinlade. The Incident which happen on Sunday 10^th April around Area 8,Garki in Abuja saw the Honorable who is presently Special Adviser, to the Deputy Speaker Yusuf Sulaiman Lasun escaping gunshot by a whisker. Information reaching www.timelineng.com revealed that the politician who was hospitalized for days in an undisclosed hospital in Abuja ran away from his abductors when he was about to be taken away inside his own Rav4 SUV Car. The former Governorship aspirant in Ogun State who formerly represents Owode-Yewa/Ipokia in the Federal House of Representative for three term was on his way home around 9pm when the gunmen caught up with him. When contacted to confirm the incident, he opened up that truly he was attacked but he has put the incident behind him, thank Almighty God that he is much alive.” Yes I was attacked by four armed men around Area H who stopped my car and pointed gun at me to come down and enter the back seat. I politely obliged, they never requested for a penny from me, so I did as they said went to the back seat. Fortunately for me while two of them already took over the front seat, one beside me at the back, I quickly open the door and jumped out before the fourth guy entered, of course in the process I fell twice injured myself, they shot at me but I don’t know how I was able to escape from the gunshot” Hon Akinlade who said he still wondered what their mission was “ I cannot specifically say if they were assassins, Kidnappers or Armed Robbers, they did not ask of money rather they just wanted to take me away in my car, so I don’t know their mission”. He narrated.

The incident according to the politician the case has since been reported at Garki Police Station but his Rav4 SUV Car is still being looked out for by the police. Meanwhile, the politician who couple of weeks ago on his birthday held a massive empowerment for people in his constituency in Owode-Yewa area of Ogun State despite being out of elected office says “ I do not know if the attack is politically motivated but for me, I will continue to empower my people, that won’t deterred me. Infact among many other things on the pipeline, two Transformer will be delivered to people of the area in the next few days, one in Owode and the other in Ipokia. For me, I have given myself for service to the people, hundreds of indigenes of the area got employment through our assist, many more are on the card already, its about empowerment of people and development of the area, that am sure will not stop from me with God on my side”
