Meanwhile, top Society woman, Mrs Quincy Ayodele made a passionate appeal to over 1000 women receiving training in skills acquisition programme at this year’s Arise Women empowerment programme to be focused and make good use of what they are learning to achieve success in life.
She made this appeal on 26th September, 2019, when she paid a courtesy visit to the women at Hope Hall, Redeemed Christians Church of God, Orile-Iganmu Road, Apapa, Lagos, in company of her daughter and the Managing Director of Quincy Herbals, Mrs Tobi Ayodele-Keeney.
While giving a pep talk to the women, Mrs Ayodele regaled them with how she started her now flourishing business with a paltry sum of five thousand naira before it blossomed to present enviable standard, and position even beyond the shores of Nigeria. She enjoined the women to stay focus, determine, courageous and be positive minded as there is no limit to what they can achieve with what they are being taught.
Speaking on the reasons behind her visit to the women, Mrs Quincy Ayodele said, “I am supporting them because i knew how i started my own business. I am always eager and ready to support people that are trained on how to empower themselves. I always encourage them so that they will know that i didn’t start my own business on a platter of gold. I started my business with only five thousand naira. If ARISE WOMEN is teaching them how they can empower themselves, they should be serious about it, they should be focused, and that’s exactly why I encouraged them with my own story.”
Mrs Quincy Ayodele was, however, full of thanks for Pastor Siju Iluyomade, the convener of ARISE WOMEN for organizing this programme to empower women all over Nigeria. She also thanked the chairperson, Mrs Olusile and everyone that support them, while she also solicited for more supports and sponsors.
“I will also use this opportunity to ask for sponsors for this initiative from ARISE WOMEN. If all women can be empowered, then poverty will be minimized or eradicated. So, i implore everybody to support them financially so that our women can be empowered and Nigeria’s economy can even be better. I thank the organizers, the chairman, Mrs. Olusile, Pastor Siju Iluyomade who is the convener, and of course, everybody that have been supporting them.”
Speaking further on the programme, Mrs Iyabo Ladipo, a member of the group reiterated that ARISE WOMEN is a non-governmental organisation and the convener is Pastor Siju Iluyomade who according to her, is interested in human capacity building, and empowering of women financially, health wise and in all other areas so that they would be able to cater for their families and be useful members of the society.
