IKORODU MONARCH: AGGRIEVED ROYAL FAMILY PLANS TO BOYCOTT INAUGURATION OF NEW OBA

The plans to install new Ayangburen of Ikorodu may have been decided finally couple of weeks ago after former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola raised the hand of the new selected Oba, Chief Kabiru Sotobi, the present Odofin of Ikorodu as new Ayangburen.

But, the crisis surrounding his selection is still causing uproar among the royal families particularly the Lambo branch of the Lasunwon ruling House who seems soft-pedal over their ambition to provide the the new Oba despite a Court ruling that Chief Sotobi is eligible for the position against the arguement of the Lambo branch who insisted the Odofin has no moral right to contest for the Oba post having right an undertaking that he wont contest any position again when he wanted to take charge has the Odofin some years ago. Information reaching us has it that the Lambo Branch may have met with some top members of the family to stay away from the inauguration of the new Ayangburen due to the fact, they still intend to pursue their case further, thus they believe,  attending the turbaning could signify that they have accepted their fate.Global Excellence gathered the news that the Family will bott the turbaning was heightened by the fact that their choice for the position, Eniola Adeniyi Odupitan, a retired Military Army has decided to stay away from the Ipebi where the new Monarch is expected to reside for traditional cleansing before he assumes the position. People, including ,members of the royal family nomally will pay homage to him inside the Ipebi as it is customay in Yorubaland. Meanwhile, Kingmakers in the town have continue to mend fences for the families in a bid to try and solve the crisis.
