Int. Girl Child Day: Siju Iluyomade Urges Government, Corporate Bodies To Emulate Arise Women, Invests In Girls’ Child Rights

The Convener of Arise Women, Dr Siju Iluyomade has joined her voice with that of world leaders as she calls for more encouragement and support for the Girl Child to protect their rights.

This comes on the heels of this year’s celebration of the Girl Child across the world, which is slated for 11th of October every year. This year’s celebration also coincided with 15th edition of Arise Women activities tagged #StepUp, starting with Arise Walk For Life on Saturday 14th October 2023.

Dr Siju while speaking on Girl Child as it concerns the theme for this year’s celebration : Invest In Girls’ Rights:; Our Leadership, Our Well-being, says her passion to see every Girl Child empowered to the point of being independent is unparalleled, which thus, gave birth to the formation of Arise Women over 15years ago.

According to the Lawyer of over 3decades, the foundation has invested billions of Naira in empowering the Girl child across many parts of the Country. ” We have built hospitals, Schools, empowerment centres where some are trained in soap making, hairdressing, Computer training and many more over the years.

” We went to inter-land in areas like Abuja, Imo, Bauchi, Ibadan, Makoko in Lagos to make sure we support the efforts of the Government” While, celebrating this edition with every Girl Child across the globe, the delectable Woman urge Corporate organizations, Federal , State and Local Government to make sure rights of every gilr child is protected because that is what will protect their well-being in the future.

She also uses the opportunity to reiterates that, this year’s Arise Women will also give out food basket and fertiliser seedlings (for farmers) to every girl child who participated in 2023 Arise Women
