Jimi Benson Commissions Market For Imota Residents in Ikorodu

Member, House of Representatives, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson commissioned a new market facilitated to Igbalu in Imota Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Imota in partnership with Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA).

The new market which consists of 40 key clamp stalls with solar street light was commissioned by representatives of Rep. Babajimi Benson led by Engr. Mutiu Shobowale, Princess Abisoye Oredoyin,  NEPZA representative, Architect Oladimeji Oyegoke, community stakeholders, among others.

According to Engr. Shobowale, the market has been facilitated by honourable Babajimi Benson to not only contribute to the economic growth of the locality, but play a pivotal role in enhancing food security and help prevent the undesired effects of suburbanization.

Engr. Shobowale said the market will serve as a centralized hub for buying and selling local produce as well as empower farmers to ensure steady supply of fresh, nutritious foods for the community.

Representative of NEPZA, Architect Oladimeji enjoined the market men and women to make good use of the market for the economic and socio-economic development of the community.

He expressed satisfaction at the work done  on the market, while urging the stakeholders to ensure clean and hygienic market environment in the community.
