JIMI BENSON COMMISSIONS NEW ULTRAMODERN COMPLEX IN IKORODU NORTH LCDA, FACILITATED BY HON BANJO

In a landmark achievement for Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Rep. Babajimi Benson, Member of the House of Representatives for Ikorodu Federal Constituency, presided over the official commissioning of a new ultramodern complex on October 8th, 2024.

This complex, facilitated by the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Builder Adeola Adebisi Banjo, marks a significant milestone in the region’s infrastructural development.

The day’s activities began with the commissioning of a road construction project in the Low-Cost Housing Estate, overseen by Bldr. Banjo and inaugurated by Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom.

Following this, Bldr. Banjo, along with his entourage of dignitaries, proceeded to Isiu to unveil additional infrastructure projects aimed at further enhancing the community’s development.

The highlight of the day was the official commissioning of the Ikorodu North LCDA Ultramodern Complex.

The state-of-the-art complex includes Legislative Chamber Offices, a Customary Court, a Multipurpose Hall, and a new Secretariat Chapel, catering to the growing needs of the local government and community.

Rep. Babajimi Benson, who cut the ribbon to inaugurate the complex, praised the efforts of Bldr. Banjo in facilitating these projects and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting further development in the Ikorodu Division.

The event drew a host of distinguished dignitaries, including HRM Oba Olukayode David Raji, the Eweye of Isiwu, HRM Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Bashorun (a member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council), Prince Abiodun Ogunleye (former Deputy Governor of Lagos State), Bldr. Olusesan Daini, Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and others.

In a notable gesture, Bldr. Banjo named the new Secretariat Complex after his mentor, former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye.

Additionally, the Multipurpose Hall was named in honour of Rep. Babajimi Benson, recognizing his contributions to the development of the Ikorodu Division.

During his remarks, Bldr. Banjo expressed deep gratitude to the community and its leaders for their unwavering support in realizing these vital projects.

He highlighted the significance of these achievements, which include the enhancement of governance infrastructure, the establishment of a Customary Court, and the inclusion of a chapel to cater to the spiritual needs of the council staff and community members.

Banjo further emphasized his administration’s commitment to providing impactful development across various sectors, including healthcare, education, and road infrastructure, with the goal of improving living standards for residents of Ikorodu North LCDA.

He paid tribute to past leaders who contributed to the growth of the region and urged continued prayers for leadership, particularly for Rep. Babajimi Benson, whose efforts have been instrumental in the LCDA’s progress.
