Jonathan To David Cameron: You ‘re a liar

Former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has described former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, David Cameron, as a liar.
Jonathan said this in reaction to a claim in Cameron’s memoir: “For The Record,” that he as former Nigerian president prevented the United Kingdom from rescuing the 274 schoolgirls who were kidnapped from their school in Chibok, Borno State by Boko Haram Terrorists.
The former UK Prime Minister had said in the book that the Chibok girls were cited in the forest after their kidnap but Jonathan prevented the United Kingdom from rescuing them.
Reacting, Jonathan said: “I would urge the public to take Mr. Cameron’s accusations with a grain of salt. I will not be the first person to accuse him of lying on account of this book, and with the reactions in the UK so far, I definitely will not be the last.”
He said it was his opposition to Cameron’s move to have Nigeria approve same sex marriage that brought about the lie.
He said: “As such, on Monday, January 13, 2014, I signed the Same-Sex Marriage Prohibition Bill into law after the bill had been passed by an overwhelming bipartisan majority of Nigeria’s parliament, in line with the wishes of the Nigerian people.
“This happened shortly after a study of 39 nations around the world by the US Pew Research Centre came up with a finding which indicated that 98 per cent of Nigerians were opposed to the idea of gay marriage.
“Immediately after I took this patriotic action, my government came under almost unbearable pressure from Mr. Cameron, who reached me through envoys, and made subtle and not so subtle threats against me and my government.”
