Lagos Robbery Incident: Two Policemen Killed
Two policemen have been confirmed killed in an attack by armed robbers on Agbara Estate in Lagos State on Thursday.The attack was earlier reported by The Eagle Online as it was ongoing.
A statement by the management of the Estate said the armed robbers arrived around 7am and headed for a bank within the estate.Said to be the first of its kind in the Estate’s 37-year history, the robbers, said in Army uniforms, raided the bank’s vault and Automated Teller Machines.The two policemen guarding the bank were killed in the process.
The statement by the Estate’s management added: “Agbara Estates is carrying out an immediate review of its security operations and is collaborating with the local authorities and police force to prevent any such incident happening again on the Estate.”
