Melaye: Three Suspects Who Escaped From Custody Rearrested

Three of the suspects who escaped from custody in the case of alleged gun running against Senator Dino Melaye have been rearrested by the police.

This followed their escape from custody in A Division, Lokoja, Kogi State on Wednesday alongside three others.

The development led to the immediate redeployment of the Commissioner of the State Command, Ali Janga, by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.Idris also deployed special teams, including the IGP Intelligence Response Team, to rearrest the fleeing suspects.

Confirming the rearrest of the suspects, Janga said: “Yes, it is confirmed, but note that I am no longer the CP.

“I have been removed.

“So next time talk to the new CP.”
