OGUN 2019: YEWA ANGLICAN DOICESE CELEBRATES SENATOR ADEOLA AT SYNOD
The Bishop of Yewa Diocese, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Rt. Revd Micheal
Adedayo Oluwarohunbi has commended Senator Solomon Adeola for his sterling
political and public service to his constituents and his quest to liberate his
people from Yewa in Ogun West saying he sees a former House of Representatives
and serving senator becoming a Governor in 2019 in the state.
While introducing the senator who was the special guest of the Third Session of the
Ninth Synod of the Diocese of Yewa at St. Paul Church, Owode-Yewa in Ogun State
over the weekend, the Bishop said he believes that it is just and right for a
Yewa-Awori indigenes to occupy the seat of governor in Ogun state adding that
in the person of Senator Adeola, the people of Ogun West have a good chance of
governing Ogun State if he decides to contest.
He said the theme of the synod which is taken from the Book of Numbers Chapter 13:30 as “..we are well able” is apt for the people of
Yewaland as this is their chance to govern the state adding that with God on
the side of Ogun 2019 is sure for them as governor.
In his address to the Synod, Senator Adeola said that the theme of the Synod is
symbolically motivating to him as a person as it captures the rationale for his
undying interest to add his quota to the development of his people in Yewa
land. “I must say that the story surrounding this
verse in the Holy Bible has a similarity to the modern day situation of Yewa
people in Ogun state in their attempt to redress age long inequity and
injustice that has manifested in economic underdevelopment and untold suffering
of our people.” the senator stated.
In his sermon at the Thanksgiving service, Rt. Revd Timothy Yahaya, the Bishop of
Kaduna Diocese stated that based on the theme of the Synod everyone with a
believe in God will overcome any obstacle just as Caleb and Joshua faith in God
was instrumental to the liberation of the Isrealites.

representative member, Hon . Ayilara Tajudeen, former chairman of Imekon Afon
LGA, Hon(Mrs) Funmi Efuwape, former Chairperson of Sagamu LGA, Hon. Nurudeen
