Ogun Celebrates Civil Servant for Winning National Productivity Award
The Ogun State Executive Council took time off its meeting yesterday to celebrate Mr. Olubola Olakunle Aikulola, a staff of the state Ministry of Education, who was recently honoured with the National Productivity Order of Merit Award by the Federal Government. Governor Ibikunle Amosun, while commending the award recipient, said he was not surprised, because such feats are what Ogun State indigenes are known for. The governor enjoined the award winner not to relent in his efforts towards attaining lofty heights, advising that he should see the award as a challenge for him to work harder. The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Modupe Mujota revealed that the award was conferred on the recipient, who is a Director of Primary Education, in the Ministry on February 21 by Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. Speaking with journalists, Aikulola said he was one of the 15 recipients chosen out of the over 1900 nominees nationwide. He described hardwork as the secret of his success, adding that he operates with the belief that whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well.
