Over 20,000 indigenes of Ogun State residing in Abuja and Federal Capital Territory has commended Senator Solomon Adeola aka Yayi as the Number 1 leader of the state origin in Abuja that identify with the cause of the indigenes in Abuja since they came together as a group a few years back.

Giving the commendation during a courtesy call on him in his office at the National Assembly over the weekend, the executives of the Ogun State Indigenes’ Forum, Abuja (OSIFA) led by the president Dr. Kolapo Osibote, said that Senator Adeola is only second to the Ogun State Government in terms of identifying with and support for the indigenes and activities of OSIFA in the Federal capital Territory adding that many prominent Ogun Indigenes and representatives have shied away from identifying with their people in FCT.
He said the purpose of their visit is to show appreciation for his selflessness to the cause of promoting unity and welfare of OSIFA members and activities adding that it is hoped that other leaders and representatives from Ogun State would start to emulate the style of Senator Adeola in the last few years.
“I can say without fear or favour that without your identification and support since 2012 maybe OSIFA would have been history and all the progress made so far including promotion of unity, welfare of members, an OSIFA Housing Estate in FCT and other activities promoting Ogun State would not have been achieved. Others leaders should be aware that OSIFA is for the promotion of the interests of all Ogun State citizens resident in Abuja and FCT” he stated.
Dr. Osibote said the whole of OSIFA are willing to host him as a special guest in any of their monthly meeting stressing that the first slot for such a hosting which is to be a regular feature has been specifically reserved for him as the foremost benefactor of OSIFA so far.
Responding, Senator Adeola who is the vice chairman of Senate Committee on Aviation said that it is always his joy to identify with and support his people anywhere they reside in the world be it in Lagos, Abuja, London, USA or at home in Ogun State stressing that whatever he has done for OSIFA is through the grace of God and his love for people.
“I am in my present position by the grace of God and the goodwill of people. The least I can do is to give back to the people at any opportunity. I will continue to support OSIFA and any other group with the interest of the people at heart without any string attached.” he stated.
The OSIFA president was accompanied by Barrister S.O Q Giwa, Vice President, Otunba Akintoye Rasaq, Secretary General and Engr. Kayode Odedina among others.
