Omoworare To Speak At Emerging Political Leaders Forum ‘Dare To Run’
In the nineties, young Christopher Babajide Omoworare desired to be an exemplary leader who would change the face of politics in Nigeria. He had dreams to empower the youths and to bless Nigeria by implementing the plethora of ideas that would not stop building up in his head. He tried to advance into the ruling political circle at the time but as expected, he was rudely resisted by the powers that be. And one of the reasons for this opposition was that Omoworare was too young and naïve to meddle into the murky waters of Nigerian politics which only the ‘certified’ elders have rightful access. Nevertheless, Senator Christopher Babajide Omoworare is today a well-grounded senator of the 8th assembly and undoubtedly one of Nigeria’s youngest and most vibrant senator. Having been politically ‘alive’ and influential since the nineties, he has been awarded several commendations for the various roles he has played in positively impacting and empowering members of his constituency through the numerous developmental projects he has spearheaded since he began his political career. As a result of these immeasurable contributions to the society, senator Babajide Omoworare has become very popular among the youths and young adults in Nigeria especially those with political ambitions. At age 31, he successfully ran for the Lagos State House of Assembly in January 1999, and was reelected in 2003. At age 43, he became a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Senator Omoworare did not achieve this feat with weak bones and gray hair; rather with his youthful tenaciousness, he was able to ward off oppositions at all levels until he attained his desired success. Senator Omoworare has a story to tell Nigerian youths. He did not just sit in the comfort of his father’s sitting room to day-dream. Yes there was a burning passion and a dream, but that was not enough. Some things needed to be done, some knowledge needed to be acquired, some people needed to be met, the political terrain needed to be understood and mastered etc. And here is the GOODNEWS! Senator Christopher Babajide Omoworare is ready to tell his story. He is willing to have a heart to heart discussion with that Nigerian youth who is ready to RUN and WIN at the 2019 elections and beyond. He is prepared to share his experiences and challenges at the NIGERIA’S EMERGING POLITICAL LEADERS FORUM (Lagos Edition) on the 7th of September 2017 at the Arcade of Eko Club, 1 Eko Club Close, surulere, Lagos. The forum is free but you MUST pre-register on www.neplf.gleedfoundation.org.ng You don’t want to miss it!
