Ooni Set To Visit Awujale In Another Historic Meeting
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, will on Friday visit the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona.The visit is scheduled for the Awujale’s palace ground at 10am.
The Eagle Online has it that the visit will be a grand occasion as preparations are in top gear to receive Oba Ogunwusi.This will be the second visit by Oba Ogunwusi to a first class traditional ruler since he assumed office about two months ago.
The first was the surprise appearance of the Ooni at the 45th anniversary on the throne of the Allafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.The last time any Ooni and Alaafin met was in 1937
