OOU Man O’ War Celebrates 40 Years Anniversary*

The Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU Ago-Iwoye chapter of the Man O’ War Nigeria will in a few days’ time roll out drums in celebration of its 40th anniversary.

This was made known yesterday by the Chairman, Planning Committee, Statesman Adebunkola Soile-Balogun.

According to her, activities marking the 40th anniversary which promises to be a grand one will kickstart on Thursday, March 7, 2024, while the Passing Out Parade will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024.

Mrs Soile-Balogun added that the grand finale of the anniversary has been scheduled for Saturday, March 9, 2024, with a symposium titled; *Collapse of Good And Visionary Leadership As Rudiments of Societal And Institutional Decay In Nigeria*.

The event will be held at Ago-Iwoye Elite Club, Behind the Mini Campus of the University.

Activities lined up for the 40th anniversary will come to an end same day with a Dinner and Award Night, where some topshots of the society will bag different honours.

The Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba AbdulRazaq Adenugba, Rotn (Dr) Akande Kazeem Babatunde, Dr Adeejat Kubra Kolawole and Prof Ayodeji Olayinka Johnson are some of the dignitaries expected to grace the occasion.

The Chairman of the Planning Committee said the vision of Man O’ War is to create a nation where people and communities live together in peace, harmony, and mutual respect through sustainable community development.
