Osinbajo Gets New Chopper From Caverton Helicopters

Helicopter management company, Caverton Helicopters Limited, owners of the helicopter that crash-landed with VP Osinbajo on board, has given Vice President Yemi Osinbajo another helicopter two days after he survived a crash in Kabba, Kogi State.

the reports that Osinbajo’s chartered helicopter had crash-landed in Kabba on Saturday while on a campaign rally in the state.

The owner of the chopper, Caverton group had earlier attributed the chopper crash involving the vice-president and others to hazy weather conditions.

Briefing the media on Sunday, Capt. Josiah Choms, the Managing Director of Caverton Helicopters, disclosed that an Augusta AW139 chopper which conveyed Osinbajo and his team lost control as it was about to touch down, at about 3:00 p.m., in Kabba, Kogi State.

Choms said it is however still investigating the incident and it will support the authorities as required.

The company also confirmed that there were no injuries to the passengers or crew on board and they were all quickly and safely evacuated.

However, speaking via its verified Twitter handle on Sunday evening, the group said it has issued a new aircraft to the Vice President.

The tweet read; “A true statement of our commitment to safety and professionalism the Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo as he continues his campaign flying with Caverton.”
