Our involvement in Nigeria Air project, by Qatar Airways

The Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker, has cleared the air over the carrier’s involvement in the project to set up a national carrier by the Nigerian Government.

The CEO, speaking at the 18th Doha Forum in Doha, Qatar, according to reports, said the Federal Government only sought the opinion of the airline as one of the biggest and most successful carriers in the world.

He said contrary to earlier reports, Qatar Airways did not apply as one of the investors for the project.
