Police Nab Three Principal Suspects Over Zamfara Killings

The police on Sunday said it had nabbed three principal suspects in the killing of about 40 persons in Zamfara State.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood.
Moshood gave the names of the suspects as Halilu Garba, popularly known as Mabushi, 45’ Zubairu Marafa, alias Wakili, 45; and Nafi’u Badamasi, also known as Zakiru, 40.
He said: “The above mentioned three (3) principal suspects have been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force for participating in the recent Zamfara Killings.
“The suspects who are now in Police custody are assisting the Police in the investigation into the Crime.
“Further findings follows and all suspects would be arraigned in court on completion of investigation.”
No fewer than 40 persons were killed on Thursday in Birane village, Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
