PRESIDENT BUHARI SHOPS FOR NEW HEAD OF SERVICE , AS DANLADI KIFASI GIVES QUIT NOTICE

Danladi Kifasi is a seasoned administrator and a technocrat who has paid his dues in the civil service. The Taraba born dude served as Permanent Secretary in various ministries including the Ministry of Petroleum Resources and the Ministry of Finance.

The climax of Kifasi’s career came via his appointment as the Head of Service of the Federation by former president Dr. Goodluck Jonathan in August 2014, a position he still retains.

The story here centers on his uncommon strength and ability to swim in troubled waters and come out unscathed. Danladi is a principal godson of the enigmatic General Theophilus Danjuma and his paths are usually eased courtesy the caring godfather.

Kifasi’s appointment as the Head of Service was made possible through the influence of the former Chief of Army Staff. Some also entertain fear of possible enquiries into their past activities.

However, Danladi Kifasi belongs to the group of people that has remained unruffled and maintained a calm posture. Danladi’s mentor has according to a source spoken to the president, softened ground for the Head of Service and secured the option of voluntary retirement for him.

We gathered from reliable sources that Danladi has consequently given notice of retirement to the presidency and he would quit soon. ‘He has done the necessary thing and he would leave once it is approved, it is clear that actions are being delayed on it because the president is yet to conclude on who to take over him to emerge as a member of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet.
