Prof. Lambo’s Widow Is Dead!

The Ogun State Government has announced the death of Dinah Vivian Lambo (nee Adams), the matriarch of the Thomas Adeoye Lambo family.

The late Mrs. Lambo died on Saturday.

She was aged 93.

She was the widow of late Prof. Thomas Adeoye Lambo, Africa’s first Professor of Psychiatry and former Director general of the World Health Organization, who was an indigene of Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, while commiserating with the family, also thanked God for the life of Mrs. Lambo, who he described as “a virtuous, resourceful and committed ally of her late husband”.

Amosun added that although she will be sorely missed, the late Mrs. Lambo lived a life worthy of emulation and should therefore be celebrated even in death.
