Protest Aftermath; Femi Saheed sues for peace

All Progressives Congress candidate for the forth coming Bye-Election in Lagos, Hon. Femi Saheed has enjoined residents of Kosofe Constituency II to jealously guide the return of peace to their respective community after the melee that ensued during the hijack of the peaceful EndSars protest.
Recall, Lagos almost went in flames when hoodlums hijacked the EndSars protest causing arson and anarchy. In a statement personally signed by him, the candidate of the APC implored his constituency to tolerate and cohesively live with one another thereby not giving in to the evil deeds of those who want to divide the citizenry along ethnic and religious lines.
” I have watched the wanton destruction of lives and properties in Kosofe Constituency II and indeed the entire Lagos with a heavy heart. As entrenched in our constitution, Nigerian Youths irrespective of tribes/ethnics have the right to express their grievances through a peaceful protest. It is however sad to see brigands hijack the process to cause anarchy in our land.
As calm gradually returns, I enjoin everyone to maintain decorum devoid of rancour as we go about our daily businesses, hence building on the tranquility that has returned to our environment. No doubt, arsonists have left a huge infrastructural gap in Lagos, but we are certain Lagos will rise again.”
