RCCG Members, Beneficiaries of Arise Women Empowerment Programmes Drum Up Support For Iluyomades
As issues surrounding the alleged order given to Pastor Idowu Iluyomade and Wife Dr Siju Iluyomade by General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye to resign from being the head of City of David Parish under the Apapa Family continues to generate serious controversy, the Iluyomades are garnering more support from lots of RCCG members across the globe as well as thousands of beneficiaries of several interventions of Arise Women Foundation, a non-profit organization under the auspices of Dr Siju Iluyomade.
Many top members of the highest hierarchy of the RCCG we gathered have held several meetings since the incident of replacing the leadership of City of David parish begins and information has it that, they have all resolved to stand by Pastor Iluyomade and the wife. A source close to Pastor Adeboye disclosed that lots of financiers of the Church both within Nigeria and outside the country including former Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo has intervened. Advising the G.O not to rock the boat, in a bid to avoid implosion of the Church.
” Our G.O has been advise not to take any move that will create so many other problems for the Church. Even Professor Osinbajo has intervened on this matter but am afraid, some people are advising Daddy G.O wrongly and it may spell doom and rubbish image of the Church”
We also gathered that some already aggrieved leaders of the Church have promised to open more can of worms should Pastor Adeboye insist on replacing Pastor Iluyomade from the Church. They spoke about many properties, and other luxurious items acquired by the G.O like private jets, apartments and many others.
Meanwhile, some group of people from different parts of Lagos and beyond have vowed to stage protest against Unwarranted attacks on their benefactor, Dr Siju Iluyomade, whom through her Arise Women brand has provided food and shelter to them in the last couple of years.
Some of them from slum area of Makoko in Lagos, we gathered are grouping up to show their support for the Arise Women convener and the husband Pastor ID. ” Yes I have received messages from many of this beneficiaries from parts of the country in support of Madam Iluyomade, especially people from Makoko, they wanted to come out and stage protest”
