The Deputy Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon Adesegun Abdul-Majid Adekoya (Attacker) representing Ijebu-North/East Local/Ogun Waterside Federal constituency has laid the foundation of a shopping mall for the people of Ijebu-Imusin to boost the economy status of the area.

Adesegun, during the laying of the foundation of the shopping mall tagged “IMUSIN AJINA SHOPPING MALL ” hinted that the project was conceived as part of his campaign promises to the good people of Ijebu-Imusin, in Ijebu East Local Government Area.

Boasting that Ijebu-Imusin is a fast-growing and sprawling business community in his Federal Constituency, therefore a shopping mall of this magnitude is projected to open new commercial vistas to boost economic growth and development, scale-up the financial viability of our people and turn around the fortunes of the local economy.

While speaking on the syndrome of JAPA, ATTACKER, maintained that “everyone of us cannot move or drift to the cities or urban centres, hence such project as this modern shopping centre will bring unprecedented development and improve the economy of individuals and boost the internally generated revenue of the local Council.

So, those of us who have chosen to stay behind at home, and for settlers among us, a Mall of this weight and stature will be a life-changing intervention for everyone.

It is one of the many landmark projects and programmes that your votes and mandates for me as your representative at the House of Representatives since 2015 through 2019 to date have brought to our Federal Constituency.

I cannot use this medium to begin to enumerate or list all the projects so far facilitated as time is not on our side.”

However, I am convinced that many of those projects that our towns and communities will not be strange to many of our people around the three local government areas that make up our Federal Constituency.

Apart from the projects; many of which that are either long completed, or that are ongoing, I have sponsored Bills and motions that are geared towards bringing federal government presence to our Federal Constituency.

It is my hope, faith and belief that when this Shopping Mall which we have appropriately tagged IMUSIN AJINA SHOPPING MALL is completed, it will become a source of financial conveniences, growth and development for individuals, our town and indeed Ijebu-East Local government.”

Adding that he is government office so as to better the lives of the people of the constituency whose mandate will continue to speak as far as he is still representing them.

“I am in office to better the lives of the lots of my people whose mandate I will continue to seek as far as my representation and parliamentary responsibilities, and delivery will form the basis for their support, and reasons for giving me their mandate time and time again.”
