Sen. Kalu’s Foundation Intensify Road Construction For Community

His Excellency, the senator representing Abia North senatorial zone, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has out of his magnanimity and benevolence harkened to the the cry of Ugwueke people who called on his to assist them with the construction of their road that connect them to Isiagu in Ebonyi state. The road when completed will pass through their farm land thereby assisting them to carry out their farming activities with ease.

The road which measures over 8km has started with initial cleaning of the bush part and construction of coverts for easy flow of water. A total of 8 coverts have been completed as the road clearance is still ongoing.

It is worthy of note that the road construction is not part of Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu constituency project rather the road is been constructed his NGO Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation.

Interacting with newsmen, the executive secretary of Orji Uzor Kalu foundation Rev. Mrs. Jemimah Ola Kalu said that efforts are being made to ensure that the road construction covers more than the area of ugwueke farm land before the heavy rains begin to enable the people of ugwueke to farm their land with ease. She went ahead to say that because Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu is passionate about agriculture, he couldn’t wait for the road to be included in his constituency project, he went ahead to use his personal money through the his foundation to fund the project.
