SENATOR ADEOLA COMMENDS GOV AMBODE ON LAGOS DEVELOPMENT

The Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola has commended the governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode for many development oriented projects that are positioning the state to attain its goal of being the third largest economy in Africa in the nearest future.

Speaking at his annual end of year Senatorial Constituency party at Egbeda in Alimosho Local Government Area, the senator said that in less than two years, the administration of Ambode has done what look impossible in the last 4 or 8 years stressing that such projects as “Light Up Lagos”, roads across all LGAs and LCDAs as well as employment through government recruitment and the Employment trust fund are what is needed for a state with a mega city status.

The party that was attended by thousands of constituents from the largest senatorial district in Nigeria in terms of population and many well-wishers from Ogun state including former speaker of Ogun state Rt. Hon Tunji Egbetokun, Senator Remi Bakare, an ACN  governorship aspirant in 2011, Hon. Tunji Akinosi, a former commissioner in Ogun State and Hon Kunle Adeyemi, the former House of Representative member representing Ewekoro-Ifo Federal Constituency had many cultural display and entertainers on stage.

Senator Adeola said that Nigeria should remain prayerful to get out of recession that is currently plaguing the country adding that with the work on and passage of the over N7 trillion 2017 Budget, Nigeria is set to get out of the wood economically.

He promised to always carry along his constituents in his representative capacity at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly stressing that in law making he has presented over 15 bills mostly on Constitutional Amendments that are at the second reading stage.

“I restate my commitment to work in your interest and the interest of the state while at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly. To address major constitutional lacuna in our nation, I have so far presented 14 constitutional amendment bills to address issues that are germane to the socio political development of Nigeria. All the bills are now with the Senate Committee on Constitutional Review for further legislative action” he stated.
